MUR News: A New MUR Alt-Art Card Appears at Arkham Nights!

 Hey again everyone!

As we hinted in Episode 100, we're excited to bring you an all-new alt-art card that will hopefully make a permanent appearance on your kitchen tables! 

After making the Charisma promo in 2019 with artist Andrew Del Valle, we had wanted to continue collaborating with local artists to create more promos people would enjoy getting to their kitchen tables. Then, the horror that kept us all distant. We decided It'd be a hard time, trying to get these to people to play (and also had a lot going on). We put the idea aside. 

Then, in 2021, we released a poll through our now-defunct Patreon, asking which of 5 cards would people like to see an alt-art of, to surprising results.

A large majority voted for a specific card. The card had been around for some time, but only really started to see a lot more play recently. So this year we acted on it. 

After Dane and Harrison moved to Colorado, they met artist Ken Kokoszka, through a good friend (and hardcore Mystic player). Ken is an artist working in Denver and who happens to have a keen eye (and hand) for all things dark and spooky. We then reached out to fellow Arkham creator Pat Burkkson, aka BlueHG, aka Lola Hayes Stan to help with the framing and visual design of the card. What came from the collaboration was this...

We think it turned out fantastic and were super happy to work with Ken and Pat on this endeavor! So if you're wondering how to get your hands on it-- Ben and Dan are at Arkham Nights! Hunt them down and they'll provide some! They'll be attending each day Happy Arkham Nights!!
